North Jimei Industrial Development Zone



    North Jimei Industrial Development Zone, situated at the Tongji Section of the Fuzhou-Xiamen Highway, is 15 kilometres away from Haicang Harbour, 10 kilometres from Dongdu Dock, 6 kilometres from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, 4 kilometres away from the Rail Cargo Terminal and only one kilometre from Fuzhou-Xiamen_zhangzhou Expressway. With 4.08 square kilometres of area having been developed to the ISO 14000 Standards for environmental management, the zone is now home to a top water plat with a daily water supply capacity of 60,000 tonnes, a 110 KV two-way power transformer substation and a sewage treatment plant capalbe of ahandling 45,000 tonnes of waste water. In addition, a liquefied gas station and an industrial gas factory have been set up here. Various facilities have been developed, including the fire station, bus terminal, post office, telecommunications company as well as the environmental sanitation and urban supervisory departments. The zone focuses on developing high-tech and pollution-free industries such as and metallurgy, with the enterprises including TDK, Linde Gas, Chengxin Electronics and Ports Clothing having been established here.
